Newly promoted Olympiakos Nicosia hosts struggling Aris Limassol. Olympiakos is 9th with 11 points from 11 games and Aris is 13th with 8 points from 11 games.

This is a big relegation battle for both teams as both teams are in the bottom half of the table and so far there are not clear relegation candidates so these matches are hugely important. Olympiakos has surprised everyone as they started the season as one of the favourites to go down. They finished 3rd in the second division last season and they have not really gotten new players to strengthen their squad. However their defensive tactic where they hit on the counter has been very effective. Lately though the lack of depth has started to affect them. They have conceded 18 goals in their 11 games so far from which 13 goals were conceded in the last 5 games. They need to find a way to get that defense working again and maybe this international break has done the trick. The break already helped as they will get back Samaras and Castro to the line-up. They will miss still Kapartis and Tsiaklis due to injury.

Aris has more quality in their team but it will not be easy for them to beat a team away from home who have lost at home only once in 6 games. Also Aris has not won a game away from home yet this season. Aris started the season with high hopes but despite best efforts, they find themselves in the relegation zone. The same happened last season and it took them a long time to claw themselves safe. They also needed new players so it will be interesting to see if they can still invest more during the January transfer window. Aris is a good team but so far they have only one win to show for it and that was against bottom club Ethnikos. Aris will miss suspended Christoforos and Mammidis but they will get back Panayi.

This match looks like a draw but Aris is the better team so an away win would not be a surprise. In any case under 2.5 goals.
