This is a must win game for Greece. Only they have a chance get into the World Cup. Cyprus lost that chance in their last match against Estonia.

Cyprus has only had one good game. They have really missed their strongest two players, APOEL Nicosia´s Aloneftis and Efrem. Aloneftis has not played with Cyprus since the last qualifiers and Efrem´s injuries have kept him from playing in the last 4 qualifying matches. Without these two wingers, Cyprus´s offense has been very poor. They scored 5 goals against Gibraltar and 3 goals in that win against Bosnia, but they have failed to score in any other game. If you compare this to their last qualifiers where they scored against every other team except Belgium, their current record is bad and the only difference is the missing two wingers. Cyprus has a good group of players but they lack a serious amount of depth. Whenever one of the key players is injured or missing, they lose something on the field.

Greece has their own goal scoring problems. Their current form is bad. After winning their opening 3 matches, they have failed to win in their last 5 (4 draws and 1 loss). Defensively they are solid like all good Greek teams but offensively they are not finding the net enough. They scored 8 goals in their opening 3 games but since then have only found the net 3 times. They have a problem on the striker position as normal main striker Mitroglou is out of form having not played this season and the Stuttgart striker Donis suffered an injury and will miss these games. They are lacking a quality player on this position.

Greece won the first match at home 2-0.

Prediction:

Both teams are having goalscoring problems so under 2.5 goals is the main bet but only Greece has motivation so away win.
