This is the fourth match in the Europa League, group H for both teams. Eintracht Frankfurt leads the group having won all of their matches so far. Lazio is second with 6 points. Marseille and Apollon are bottom with 1 point.

Progressing from this group was always very difficult for Apollon from the start but if they do not win this game, then the chance also mathematically might be over if Lazio beats Marseille in their game. Apollon has played well against Lazio and Marseille but not so much in the first match against Frankfurt. The hosts won that match 2-0 but it could have been even worse. Apollon just had at the end one good chance which they did not convert. The Limassol team has been playing with 2 games a week pace for a while and it is causing some injury problems and because of this they have not won in their last three games. During the weekend they saw their 11 game winning streak at home in the Cypriot league come to an end when Anorthosis beat them 1-2. However, Apollon should have gotten something from that game as they were superior and hit the post several times. With just a bit of luck and better finishing they should have won that game. They will have an important Derby match against AEL on Sunday so they will have to keep also that in mind.

Frankfurt comes into this match with really good form having won six and drawn once in their last seven competitive games. During the weekend they beat Stuttgart away from home 0-3 and that win put them already on 5th position in the German Bundesliga. If they win this match, then they have also qualified to the next round in the Europa League. No one expected that the German Cup winners would have had such a good start to their season having lost their head coach Niko Kovac to Bayern and their main goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky to Leverkusen. The former Salzburg and Young Boys head coach Adolf Hütter though has gotten them to play nice attacking football and it is working like a charm. They are in Cyprus looking for a win which would book their spot in the next round.

Apollon team news:

Apollon will still be without Youste, Bru, Soumah, Ouedraogo and Carayol. Sardinero and Maglica should be available again.

Frankfurt team news:

Frankfurt has the same line-up as they had in the first match against Apollon.

Prediction:

Frankfurt was superior in the first game and they will have several fans backing them up also here. Apollon has an important league game against AEL this weekend and they suffer from injuries so the pick here is away win and over 2.5 goals in the match.
