This is the final in the Europa League, group H for both teams. Eintracht Frankfurt leads the group having won all of their matches so far. Lazio is second with 9 points. Apollon is 3rd with 4 points and last season’s finalist Marseille is bottom of the group with 1 point. In the first game between the teams in Cyprus, Apollon came back from 0-2 to draw 2-2.

Olympique Marseille will be happy to see Europa League end after this match. They were in the final last season but have only managed 1 point so far in a group they were expected to go through easily. They are doing a bit better in the French Ligue 1. PSG has already gone but Marseille is 5th only 5 points from 2nd place. They are not in good form though as they have failed to win in their last 3 games. Despite losing to both Eintracht Frankfurt and Lazio at home in the Europa league, they have been a good home side in the French league with a 5-2-1 record with their only loss coming against leaders Paris SG. Especially defensively they have been strong conceding only 6 goals in those 8 league games keeping 5 clean sheets.

Just like last year, Apollon has fought well in this tough group. They were expected to finish bottom with a clear margin, but they have kept each game close and could have deserved maybe even more points from their 5 games. Cypriot teams are often underestimated and Apollon head coach Avgousti has been able to use that to their advantage and play offensive football. They have created good chances in each game and are capable of scoring against anyone. They do struggle a bit away from home, but they can play without pressure here.

Marseille team news:

Marseille will be without injured Aymen Abdennour. There are other doubts also and it is likely that they will rotate, which means that key players like Florian Thauvin, Luis Gustavo and Morgan Sanson will be rested.

Apollon team news:

Apollon will miss Youste, Joao Pedro, Carayol and Facundo Pereyra. Kevin Bru is fit again and avalaible for selection.

Apollon does not play defensive and they will take the game to Marseille. Both teams to score is the main pick.
