Doxa vs AEL 17:00 Makareio Stadium, Nicosia
3.15 – 3.45 – 2.10 -Bet NOW with Winmasters

Doxa has been tormenting the bigger teams this season by beating APOEL 2-5 and earning a home draw against Apollon, but last week they came undone away to Anorthosis who beat them 3-1 thanks to a dominant game by Anorthosis forward Nika Kacharava. Now they will face another difficult task as the league leaders AEL Limassol come to visit Makareio stadium.

Doxa has been very inconsistent this season. They won 3 games in a row before the international break in October but have since only managed one win and two draws in seven games. Offensively they are capable of creating chances and scoring but defense has let them down as with the exception of the 4-0 win over Alki in mid-September, they have been unable to keep a clean sheet. Their games are entertaining and usually with a lot of goals as seven of their matches have had over 2.5 goals. From this match Papafotis (10/1) and Pavlov are still doubts (10/1).

AEL Limassol lost to both Nea Salamina and Apollon, but managed to bounce back from these two defeats with two wins against Omonia and Ermis. However, the performances in those wins was not the best. Against Omonia they got a bit lucky with the early red card for the Nicosia team and against Ermis they conceded 2 goals at home. Considering that AEL only conceded 2 goals in their first 8 games, but now in their last four, they have conceded 10 goals, this has to be a worry for them. Offensively they are in a much better place than last season. Their 22 goals is the 3rd best record in the league at the moment. AEL will be without their influential midfielder Manuel Torres (12/3) who had a bad injury in the Ermis game. Also Dani Benitez is still out (7/0).

Prediction:

Having Torres out is a big negative for AEL, but they are a much better team than Doxa having earned twice as much points from their 1st round than the team from Katakopia. Defense is a worry for both teams at the moment so both teams to score is the main pick, but with AEL winning 4 of the last 5 meetings between the teams with 1 match ending in a draw, AEL to win with over 2.00 odds is a good option.

Ermis vs Alki Oroklini 18:00 N. Papas Group Ammochostos- Epistrofi, Larnaca
1.71 – 3.65 – 4.40 -Bet NOW with Winmasters

This is the battle at the bottom with Alki and Ermis the bottom two teams with 7 points each. Ermis has had a bad start to their season and they should be a bit higher in the standings. Since the change of their head coach the performances have improved but the results have not. They lost their last two games away from home to Anorthosis (2-1) and AEL (3-2) but in both games they had chances to score more goals. It is only a matter of time when they start clicking. Ermis has some problems in this match for the starting 11 as from the regular starters defender Kuagica (10/1), Important midfielder Martynyuk (12/2) and forward Keita (7/1) are out due to suspension. First choice keeper Arabatzis (9/0) is also a doubt. Kipiani (10/0) luckily returns though.

Alki Oroklini also has improved from the start of the season. They basically had a completely new team and it took some time to play better as a team. They are still our favourites to go down but at least they are making it a bit harder for the opponents. Two weeks ago they beat Nea Salamina 2-0 and last weekend they were unlucky to lose 0-2 at home to Omonia. They have only scored 6 goals all season but the offense is now creating more chances and their goal scoring record should improve. Also defensively they are more organised and it is more difficult for teams to play past their defense. Alki might be without Gadacha (12/0), Starokin (8/0) and Trajchevski (8/0). Acosta (10/0) though returns to the line-up.

Prediction:

Ermis is the favourite here and they did beat Alki 0-2 in the first match, but with the importance of this match for both teams, it could be a low scoring affair. Main pick is under 2.5 goals.

Anorthosis vs FC Pafos 19:00 Stadio Antonis Papadopoulos, Larnaca
1.46 – 4.10 – 6.60 -Bet NOW with Winmasters

Anorthosis has finally found a way to win matches. They struggled in scoring goals earlier but are now on a 5 match unbeaten run which included 4 wins and a draw. This has moved them to 5th position and they again look like a team that can challenge the Top-4. FC Pafos is on a pretty decent 2-1-2 form themselves and they earned a big 1-0 win their last game against AEK Larnaca which has moved them to 9th position.

Anorthosis beat Doxa in their last match 3-1 and it was a huge dominant display from Georgian international Nika Kacharava. He bullied the defenders with his size, physicality and speed to create goal scoring chances for his team mates and for himself. This was the first time that he looked like the striker who a couple of seasons ago dominated for Ethnikos Achnas and earned himself a move to the Polish ekstraklasa. With Michal Duris not in the same form as last season, having Kacharava in top form will be a huge boost to their offense. Anorthosis will again miss Cisse (7/0), Igiebor (7/0) and most likely Laborde (7/0).

FC Pafos has earned 7 points from their last 5 games but all those points have come at home. Their away form is awful with one win and 4 losses. They are still a team that is developing their game. They are not reaching their full potential yet. Defensively they were solid against AEK, but when they play a bit more offensively, they get beat. Just like what happened in their last away game (3-2 loss to Doxa). In their five away games this season, they have conceded 16 goals which is an average of over 3 per game. If this does not improve, they will never climb the tables to challenge for a top-6 position. It will not help their defense that Banggaard (11/0) is out and also midfielder Zivulic (9/0) is out due to suspension. Lulinha (3/0), Lorran (7/0) and Zachariou (6/0) are doubts.

Prediction:

Anorthosis to win by at least 2 goals.
