FC Pafos vs Nea Salamina 17:00 Stadio Stelio Kyriakides, Paphos
2.55 – 3.35 – 2.55 -Bet NOW with Winmasters

Saturday starts already with a tough game between two teams hopeful to eventually end the domination of the big-6 and get into the fight for Euro Cup places themselves. Nea Salamina is closer at the moment as they are 5th with 23 points and only 1 point behind Anorthosis who are 4th. If FC Pafos would have started the season better, they could have been there themselves, but are now on 10th position with 14 points. Both teams come into this match after losing to a Limassol team last weekend.

FC Pafos played a decent game against AEL, but a Andreas Makris wonder-goal on the 55th minute was enough to separate the teams. Before that though Pafos had played 4 games against Big-6 teams without losing (1-3-0). In their remaining games in the regular season, they will only face Omonia (Home) and APOEL (Away) from the big teams, so expect them to start climbing in the standings. A Top-6 position though is 8 points away so that does not look possible.  The biggest reason for improved performances for Pafos was that they started to find the net. The 1-0 loss to AEL was their first game since 10th November that they did not manage to find the net. Defense has been strong recently, especially at home as in their last 4 games, only Apollon was able to score 1 goal. APOEL, Enosis and AEK all failed to find the net.

You would expect this game to be a bit different as Pafos should play a bit more offensive against Nea Salamina who beat them 3-0 in Larnaca in October. Nea Salamina lost to Apollon 0-3 in the last round and even though the defeat was earned, maybe not with those numbers. Nea Salamina was able to create chances in that game but their recent problems in finding the net were again there. Since their 4-1 win over AEL on the 25th November, they have only scored 1 goal in five matches. However if you look at the whole season, you see that they have only managed to score more than 1 goal in 4 games: Win against Enosis 3-5, Loss against APOEL 2-3, Win against Pafos 3-0 and win against AEL 4-1.

All the information points to a low scoring game, but the history is with goals. The teams have met 7 times and only the first match (1-1) did not go over 2.5 goals. Thus we will back goals here. Over 2.5 goals with 2.00 odds.

Enosis vs Doxa 18:00 Stadio Tasos Markou, Paralimni
2.60 – 3.30 – 2.60 -Bet NOW with Winmasters

This will be an interesting game as both teams will look for a win here. Enosis is a solid home team but they have failed to win in their last 4 games (0-3-1). They are 11th with 13 points. Doxa is just 1 point ahead of them on 8th position and despite their good start to the season, they have now lost 4 games in a row and are desperate to get back to winning ways.

Newly promoted Enosis Neon Paralimni has had a tough season so far and they are right in the middle of the relegation battle. They earned a big 0-0 away draw against Ermis in their last game which kept the bottom club still 5 points behind. The away draw was a big result as it was only their 2nd point on the road. They are a much better home team with a 3-2-2 record at Tasos Markou where they have beaten AEK, Alki and Ermis and drawn with Anorthosis and Omonia. Only Nea Salamina (Opening game of the season) and Apollon have left with 3 points from Paralimni. The Apollon game was the only match where Enosis did not find the net at home this season.

Doxa is in a very difficult position as they are not playing badly, but they still keep on losing. They have scored 6 goals in their last 4 games, but still ended up losing all of their games. Defensively they have been bad as they have only managed to keep one clean sheet this season and that was the 4-0 win over then poor Alki Oroklini. In 9 games, they have conceded 2 or more goals. They will get a boost in this match as they get their top scorer Berat Sadik back, but he will just boost the offense, not defense. Doxa is 1-1-5 on the road this season beating only APOEL.

Both teams are scoring goals so the main pick is both teams to score and over 2.5 goals. The 1X2 can go either way.

APOEL vs Anorthosis 19:00 GSP Stadium, Nicosia
1.60 – 3.80 – 5.20 -Bet NOW with Winmasters

This is a “Big-6” match and with both teams in-form, it will be an interesting one. APOEL has won their last 5 games and this hot streak has taken them to top of the league. Anorthosis is undefeated in their last 8 games (5-3-0) and they have climbed to 4th position.

APOEL has seen a big change since they changed their manager to Italian Paolo Tramezzani. He first fixed their defense and made them more organized. Then he started making improvements in the offense and with the help of Mousa Al-Tamari, they started scoring more and winning more. The confidence is back with the team, but they will have to play this match without their best offensive player as Al-Tamari is shining in the Asian Games for Jordan. They could have used him to unlock this tricky Anorthosis defense. APOEL scored without him 2 goals against Ermis and 2 goals against Doxa. This defense is better so there might not be too many goals in this match.

Anorthosis has conceded 14 goals this season with only Apollon and AEK conceding less (13). Their rise in form is a result of their strikers getting back into form. They did draw 0-0 with Alki in their last game, but if Michal Duris would have had his scoring boots on, they should have won that game by a couple of goals. Anorthosis has kept two clean sheets in a row and one of them was a 0-3 win over 2nd placed AEL so they are confident they can get something from Nicosia also. Anorthosis is also the only team in the league who has not lost an away game this season. They are 3-4-0 on the road so far.

The main pick is under 2.5 goals, but the odds on Anorthosis double chance X2 have value. This will be a difficult match for APOEL to play without Al-Tamari against a solid defense.
